Gen fic set in early series 1, in which Leon is the only one to notice the abuse Merlin suffers in the course of doing his job. So whumpy and so good.

A brilliantly written but harrowing fic about Arthur being bespelled by Morgana to rape and abuse Merlin. Gripping, and doesn't try to hand wave everything back to normal at the end either.

A Good King to His People by Sita_Z

This is an absolute classic of the genre I like to call 'Merlin gets whipped and Arthur drowns in angst'. Featuring Good!Morgana, Clever!Uther and ActuallyTakesResponsibilityForHisActions!Arthur. It's glorious.

Fluff

A Hart by MerlinFicDriveThru

God bless whoever at the DriveThru wrote this gorgeous little fic about genderfluid Elyan bringing Morgana animals to heal from the hunt. I actually had a little cry because it's so beautifully and emotionally done. Seriously, you may not dig the pairing, but take a chance on 500 words because you won't regret it.
