H/C Bingo update

H/C Bingo update! Deadline's Jan 5th and I'm always on the absolute last minute with this one, so expect like 3 scrappy fics published overnight...

The orange is ones I've officially done, the green is for fics in progress, and the lilac is for ones where I have an idea of what to write. I still want to write for a fandom I've never written for before - the original idea was a Harry/Draco fic but I'll see how I go.

I usually like to fill two lines in a cross shape for the deadline - which would be fine for this round as drugged and healers are both good, but crucifixion?? *wibbles*

You could combine the crucifixion with the healers? If you pick a medieval setting or even a modern one. I'm thinking of that anti christ!Arthur fic by Footloose where Arthur was tortured. You probably wouldn't even have to be graphic about it, could just be the aftermath where healer!character is taking care of crucified!character?

and if you want to go with Drarry, darkest timeline, Harry got captured and Voldemort thought it funny to crucify the chosen one because "don't the muggles have a saviour who died on the cross?" ...

Just some ideas. Feel free to use any if you want, or discard at will. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can finish your bingo!

Thank you for your good wishes! Those are both such good ideas but even the idea of both of them makes me feel a bit sick! I think this is what being raised Catholic does for you, I've spent much too long contemplating the horrors of being crucified... Someone else suggested a Merlin with wings fic where he gets pinned by them - I guess the faery element of that might make it feel a bit less close to home and squick me out less...

Or yes, focusing on the comfort after and being very vague about the hurt is another good way to go!

I'm with you on crucifixion- and people have asked so many times to have it taken out because it's such a vile thing. But no. So, work around it.   dictionary.com has the meaning as  'severe and unjust punishment or suffering; persecution' and I 've also seen the term used for harassment by the media. You could work with that.  Arthur doing or saying something and getting ripped to pieces for it.

Yes, this is very true, and I think the mods have been ok with us being a bit tricksy before with word meanings... apparently this one stays in because one of the mods loves it though! I should have remembered to veto it, I def will next year...

EEEK! I have to do a "hearing loss" fic pronto - trouble is, I started writing one and it got hella ooc. And I have another plot brewing, but it's looking a lot more like crack than h/c. Plus, I have 1 writing day between now and 5th Jan. *noooo*
