Oct. 12th, 2015 08:41 pm18: Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?
Hmmm... nowadays it might be more likely to be other people or kink memes or fests etc. When I started, it was just me. I came into the Merlin fandom knowing I wanted to write a fic about Merlin having anorexia and I wanted to write one about Arthur being abused at home, and then after that I just sort of played it by ear.
The most specific bunny I had was meeting an awesome lady farmer who told me how lambing season worked, and instantly knowing I had to put that in a fic somehow. Thus City Slicker was born...
19: When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
I have an ideas document and it is such a hot mess. Lines I wanted to save for later, odd paragraphs of fic, prompts, things people said in Chatzy... and then just a single note at the bottom that says: 'Catboy Merlin'. Sigh.
20: Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?
YES! Let me rave forever about how fantastic the Merlin fanartists are. My tumblr is basically all art reblogs, and I get bunnied a lot by them. But to be honest I am nervous to write a fic for them sometimes in case they don't like it! Which is silly and I should get over it and just write that one Whimsycatcher fic I am burning to write because damn...
